Every once in a while there comes a talent so astoundingly great that whatever genre you’re listening to, you just have to stand in awe of its raw emotions. In last night’s episode of the US version of The Voice, this JUST happened.
Washington resident Terrence Cunningham stunned the judges with his beautiful, emotional rendition of The Temptations’s ‘My Girl’, turning the 4 chairs in less than 30 seconds.
The performance was truly heartfelt, with Terrence singing along his superb keyboard playing, in what is a truly breathtaking take on the original. And what was even truly heartwarming is that he was singing it for his 18 year old daughter, which he held off his career for till she graduated.
Alicia Keys was lucky enough to land this talent, overtaking Adam Levine, Kelly Clarkson and Blake Shelton.
I truly believe that we may have this season’s WINNER of The Voice, and I cannot wait to see how he will fair in the coming stages. GO TEAM TERRENCE!
